Long Thanh Airport

According to Decision No. 1777/QD–TTg[29] dated November 11, 2020 of the Prime Minister on investment in construction of Long Thanh international airport phase 1, infrastructure and construction scale are as follows:

Airport infrastructure: Construction of a runway with a length of 4,000 m, width of 45 m (Bm = 45 m, sidewalk = 2×15 m) and a system of taxiways and aprons to ensure the operation of all types of aircraft. Capacity of 25 million passengers/year and 1.2 million tons of cargo/year.

Passenger terminal: Construction of a passenger terminal with a design capacity of 25 million passengers/year, total floor area of ​​373,000 m2.

Constructions serving flight management: Construction of an air traffic control tower about 123 m high and auxiliary items.

Auxiliary works: Construction of parking garage; Cargo terminals have a total capacity of 1.2 million tons of goods/year; airline catering area; equipment maintenance facilities, aircraft cleaning, fuel supply stations, wastewater drainage and treatment,…

Works of state management agencies and units operating in the Port: Customs; Police gate; Local police; medical quarantine (animals/plants); airport authorities; port management and operation unit; flight operations unit; Airlines; Aviation service providers…

Traffic directly connected to the Port: Route No. 1 connects the Port with National Highway 51, scale of 06 lanes, route No. 2 connects the Port with Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh highway, scale of 04 lanes and other intersection.

The total investment of the Project is 109,111.742 billion VND, equivalent to 4,664.89 million USD (exchange rate 1 USD = 23,390 VND announced at Vietcombank on May 25, 2020).

In the future, the project will complete the construction of 4 runways and 4 terminals and auxiliary works, with a capacity of 100 million passengers/year.
